Hot on the heels of the ESA’s E3 announcements, industry heavy-weights David Perry and Ed Fleming have joined forces to create a consumer-focused event to replace E3, dubbed VideoGame Expo, to be held once a year.
It says it in the press, so it must be true!!!

Wow, you learn something new every day!
🙂
The truth? – Well I’m on the Advisory Board for this event, simply because I believe in giant events for gamers.
When I was a kid, one of the things that really got me passionate was attending giant gamer shows in London. Back then they were called ZX Microfairs. (For the Sinclair ZX81 and Spectrum.)
I will try hard to help Ed make an event that can let new gamers today experience that same exciting feeling of seeing brand new games together for the first time. Gamers were not welcome at E3 and I think that was always a failing of the show.
So no, I didn’t CREATE a new show, I’m just doing my bit to help out.
