OK, I promised photos from my recent Korea/China trip. Sorry for the delay, I’ve been buried since I got back. (You will find out why soon.)
So here’s the view from the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Downtown Seoul, Korea.
These signs are all over Korean cities, they are the places you can go to play online games.
Accross the street, yep, another one…
Here’s what it’s like inside a developer’s studio. (Kinda like the USA really.)
For lunch we always eat Korean food… Today it was FROZEN (there’s ice in there) noodles.
Traffic is way to heavy to zip around, so subways seem to be the way to go.
Even the Vending Machines in the Subway are high-tech!
And I thought the Russians liked their Vodka cold!
THEN ON TO CHINA!
My Hotel (Grand Hyatt – Shanghai)
This is the view from my Hotel window. (Camera 1)

Time to go to China Joy, the E3 show of China.
Outside the China Joy Conference Center.
Another shot outside.
The Entrance to China Joy.
Lets go inside, what the heck? Is this a party?
It’s like 10 concerts going on at once!
Say hello!
Where the heck did all these people come from! I’m glad I’m taller than everyone at the show! This is what it looks like if you are me.
Sega giving out drinks. Suddenly people got thirsty.
The next thing will be a Circus… Hold on… Erm…
Where there’s clowns there must be Circus Acts? (Look at what these programmers have to do to sell a game over here!)
Dude, put down the weapon, don’t make me take it from you! (He’s taking this all a bit to serious.)
Hey, it’s the PS3! They made the booth like the machine, a black box.
They’re trying to compete with the lines Nintendo got at E3.
World of Warcraft!
Is it World of Warcraft, or is it the Coca Cola game? I can’t tell?
Why is this so low down, I’m on my knees!
Nice Robot!
ATI – Are we expected to discuss bump mapping with these girls?
OK – Now I’ve seen EVERYTHING – They are selling suitcases at the game show!
Nice Booth Intel – I took this photo, then the sign broke (this is proof it worked!)
Nice Translation for “Art out-sourcing”.
Konami brought a bunch of cool Arcade hardware.
I thought it was Guitar Hero, I was just about to rock out.
Yep, he is painting on her back from some CD’s. And why not!
Hmmm… A new kind of advertising is born.
Now you probably think I’m taking pictures of the girls… I’m not, it’s just, they are EVERYWHERE! (I guess they got the ones kicked out of E3.)
Yes, a fish pond in the booth.
Finally… This is what I expected to see… Gamers playing!
Not for long… Time for more shows. Are we on TV?
Em… Do you want me to leave?
DP’s Best Costume of the Show Award.
Whoa… Just how I feel after all this crazy noise.
OK TIME TO LEAVE THE SHOW…
Got to meet some cool developers and do a speech.
He we all are afterwards.
A Chinese developers office on the weekend.
Nighttime in Shanghai.
Daytime in Shanghai.
My Tourist shots.
I thought this looked a bit like the Nintendo Wii controller.
TIME TO GO HOME!
Back at the Airport.
Can’t wait to go back!
Sweet trip, i can see you had loads of fun 🙂
That Grand Hyatt Hotel – Shanghai looks like a CG generated picture.
